Ashley Lane was slated for a singles match after issuing an Open Challenge several weeks earlier. At Wrestlelution though Ashley Lane turned up with her arm in a sling, making it clear to fans and her opponent that she was not fit to compete. Hailey Hatred didn't seem to buy Ashley's excuses but had to direct her attention to her renewed opponent, the SHIMMER Tag Team partner of Ashley Lane - Neveah. A double team blindside attack resulted in Hailey having to fight against the odds, and it didn't look good early on for her. Neveah led the match with some quick shots but was stopped when an exchange in chops broke out. A quick back and forth soon followed on with each lady looking for quick pinfalls. Hailey Hatred looked set for the win though when she landed a Northern Lights Suplex which was kicked out of just in the nick of time.

Hailey Hatred was sent outside the ring where Ashley Lane carried out her work, despite having an arm bandaged up. Lane smashed Hatred into the canvas and then allowed Neveah to continue her work outside the ring. After bouncing Hatred's head off the canvas Neveah chose to take the action back into the ring where she failed to maintain momentum. Hailey Hatred fought back but was quickly grounded and soon felt the full force of a bulldog and headlock submission. Hatred battled out to send Neveah off the ropes and land a quick fall-away slam. Victory was soon in sight though when Neveah hit a sunset flip in the corner. Hatred though held onto the ropes preventing her from falling backwards. The injure Lane jumped onto the apron to once again screw over Hatred by kicking her over. Neveah was awarded the three count and consequently celebrated with Ashley Lane as Hailey Hatred looked on.

Women's Champion Beth Phoenix was joined by Santino Marella as she went into non-title competition with newcomer Kelly. With the bell sounded Beth Phoenix and Kelly immediately locked up with Phoenix lifting Kelly off her feet and placing her on the top rope. The signs of strength were noted by commentary, especially when Beth Phoenix dragged Kelly off the top rope to begin toying with the former ECW diva. Furious at the lack of respect Kelly kneed Phoenix but was quickly pushed towards the ropes. Phoenix sent Kelly to the other side and on the return was hit with a knee which busted open the nose of the Champion. As Beth took some time out to check her nose Kelly saw her chance at a win and rolled Phoenix up in a small package unfortunately only getting a two count. The bloody Glamazon angrily fought back knocking down Kelly with a shoulder tackle. Beth Phoenix picked up her game and smashed Kelly's head into the canvas several times before covering for only a two count. A ray of hope shone for Kelly though when she was able to roll up Beth Phoenix a second time, once again though the Champion kicked out. This became Kelly's opening as she unleashed several kicks, left hands and rights, and eventually connected a drop toe hold on Phoenix as she went face first into the canvas. Kelly prepared for her cartwheel-elbow move but Phoenix was pulled away from the corner of the ring by Santino Marella. Beth Phoenix angrily began arguing with Santino Marella which allowed Kelly to roll up Phoenix for the third time, and also walk out with the three count! Santino Marella cringed as he realised what had happened, and an angry Beth Phoenix looked to get some revenge for Marella's mistake. The Intercontinental Champion began pleading with Phoenix who took him down and began pummelling him.

Later in the show Santino Marella went into a title defense with former Champion Kofi Kingston. Kingston dominated most of the match which resulted in Marella hightailing it and leaving the ring. Beth Phoenix made an appearance though and proceeded down the ramp to tell Santino to get in the ring and "fight like a man". Kofi Kingston dragged Santino back into the ring, and as he got into the ring Phoenix grabbed his leg to drop him face first onto Santino's foot. Marella quickly covered to get the three and retain his Championship! Phoenix climbed into the ring and backed Marella into a corner and proceeded to kiss him. Santino switched roles and forced Phoenix into the corner to kiss her - the Women's Champion though only screamed and then became weak at the knees. Glamarella then celebrated and left the ring.

News: Downloads & Updates

Updates on the website haven't been frequent over the last few days. We apologise for that, but as a thank you for continuing to visit we'll be providing you download links to the matches we have missed since RAW on Monday. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a report and downloads for tonights Summerslam match between Mickie James, Kingston, Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix.

Reading several websites out there it has become clear that the WWE Divas have been up to quite a bit. Candice Michelle reportedly spoke to a fan at the Venice Beach event telling him that she would be back on RAW shortly - this is contrary to reports that Candice will be returning to the SmackDown! brand. Big news comes in the form of the release of Cherry. She was released from her contract along with several other male superstars including Steven Richards. In RAW news Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill have been working house shows together. This is quite disappointing as it seems WWE have dropped their feud on television.

TNA will be travelling to Canada next month for their No Surrender event. Several Canadian Knockouts have spoke online about playing a part in the show. The Knockout roster has a large Canadian contingent so we're anticipating involvement from the likes of Angelina Love, Gail Kim, Traci Brooks and Taylor Wilde.

Ring of Honor held an event recently. In a shocking turn of events Delirious joined Age of the Fall and as a result will be reunited with MsChif. Daizee Haze begged Delirious not to align himself with AoTF but was ignored. Things definately look set to be heating up there.

And now for the downloads! Remember to look back tomorrow for Summerslam results and downloads.

TV Rewind: Celebrity Rehab

Celebrity Rehab
Episode 1 - Intake

Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer is renowned for her work as the first ever female to become WWE Intercontinental Champion inside the world of professional wrestling. In 2001 Joanie and the WWE parted ways, and according to Joanie there was much more to the release than disputes over pay. Fans online are aware of her relationship with Paul Levesque (Triple H), and then his eventual marriage to Stephanie McMahon. The relationship tore Joanie apart, and with the loss of her job things spiralled out of control. By 2008 Joanie had a reputation amongst wrestling fans and celebrity followers as being outrageous with her drug and alcohol induced outbursts on reality television shows such as Surreal Life.

The opportunity to become clean was too much to refuse in 2008 when she was offered a place in Celebrity Rehab. This debut episode sees Joanie introduce herself, speak candidly with the Dr. about her troubled upbringing, and find solice in room mates and friends such as Mary Carey and Brigette Nielsen. Kelly appeared in Richmond, VA with the difficult task of defeating The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix. Santino Marella joined his estranged Summerslam partner as she quickly disposed of the former ECW Diva. Kelly though gave it her all by immediately mounting Phoenix. The Glamazon fought out and after getting kicked in the face sent Kelly off the ropes to connect a huge military press slam. After some more foul play Beth Phoenix was able to land the Glam Slam which prompted Santino to join Beth in the ring for a celebration. Santino Marella demanded Phoenix give Kelly "another move" to send a message of Kofi Kingston and Mickie James.

Luna Vachon: "I am Bi-Polar"

LAS VEGAS - On a better day, perhaps in the time directly after Wrestlemania XIV, the man at the airport would never have bothered Luna Vachon. He would probably have said something embarrassing, maybe asked for her autograph and waved her through to the plane. He would not have cared that she had three carry-on bags, two over the limit -- he just would have been happy to tell his friends and family that he met that crazy woman wrestler named Luna.

But this was not the time directly after Wrestlemania XIV -- it was a full nine years later and Luna's name and face were no longer instantly recognizable and in fact, had been forgotten by most. On this particular day, just one day removed from the annual Cauliflower Alley Club reunion in Las Vegas, the man at McCarran International Airport did not recognize Luna at all and treated her just like everyone else, telling her tersely that she could only board with one carry-on bag. "You can try to put them all together, but that's the best I can do." Luna blinked, astonished that her other two small bags were even an issue but then quietly went about seeing what she could do.

It was only one of many moments Gertrude Vachon has had to endure in the years following her success in the WWF. She doesn't wrestle anymore and in fact announced her retirement from the sport in November 2007. She is content these days to work as a tow truck operator and when she is not working, often spends her time in her studio apartment. Despite the solitude, in an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, she admitted she kind of likes it.

"People around here don't know me, they only know me as the woman who leaves early in the morning and comes home dirty and dragging her butt at the end of the day," Vachon said...
